_{The Sr Building Service Tech-Electrician undertakes a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Your job will involve installing electrical wiring in buildings and poles, troubleshooting malfunctions and blackouts, and repairing appliances and any general electrical equipment.}

_{Primary responsibilities include:}

• _{PM and reactive ownership of all lighting, intercom and other electrical systems}
• _{Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems}
• _{Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)}
• _{Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components}
• _{Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them}
• _{Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.}
• _{Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units}
• _{Complete general building maintenance repairs when required}

_{Qualifications}

• _{Proven experience as an electrician}
• _{Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems}
• _{Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints}
• _{Thorough knowledge of Electrical safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines}
• _{Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability}
• _{Flexibility to work long shifts and overnight}

_{Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials}

• _{Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician}
• _{Valid Rhode Island State Electrician's License}
• _{Valid Driver’s License}
• _{Additional certification in one or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions}

• _{Work Schedule: Monday through Friday some overtime on evenings and weekends may be required}

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this position is $67,000.00 - $87,000.00/year. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to budget, work location, and relevant skills and experience.
